“I’m Humbled by Nominations” – Vybrant Faya

Fast rising Ghanaian dancehall sensation Vybrant Faya has expressed his profound gratitude to the board of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards –VGMAs, The GN People’s Choice Awards and other awards for recognizing his efforts and nominating him in their respective schemes.

Vybrant Faya picked two outstanding nominations this year’s VGMAs which include New Artist of the Year and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year. Speaking about his nomination, the Mampi hit maker hinted that the board of the VGMA should be applauded for demonstrating confidence in the dancehall genre but most importantly that they’ve shown support for promising brands. He believes his inclusion in the awards is as a result of hard work and dedication and points to the fact that the people of Ghana have accepted his style of music.

The VGMAs, which is Ghana’s premier musical recognition scheme, is scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday 11th April 2015 where a number of Ghana’s top musical talents and industry players will converge to reward excellence in musical performance for the year 2014.

Seen as the next big thing to steer the African dancehall culture, Vybrant Faya’s song mampi, which continues to enjoy massive airplays since it’s release has made several headlines in home and abroad. The song was nominated in the recently held 2015 Ghana DJ Awards for the category of Best DJ Soong for the year 2014 and also as Best People’s Song in the upcoming GN People’s Choice Award.  Vybrant Faya’s management, Shatta Movement Family expressed their appreciation to the fans in Ghana especially those in the Ghettos and lovers of dancehall music across the world for accepting their brand of music, which preaches respect, tolerance and positive lifestyle. “We’re thankful to the VGMA Board for supporting Ghana music and giving it the needed recognition without which our music will suffer” – Cypha Wellington, CEO of SMF

VYBRANT FAYA RELEASE 2015 FIXTAPE FOR UPPERCLASS DANCEHALL

Fast rising African dancehall musician Vybrant Faya has released his first fixtape for the year 2015 in fulfillment of the promise of upper class dancehall music to lovers of dancehall in Ghana and across African.
Vybrant Faya has compiled in this ‘fixtape’ (compilation of singles and mixtape) nine (9) powerful songs spiced with one banging club mix including the record-breaking debut single, mampi which was released March 2014.  The ‘fixtape’ according to Vybrant Faya is a top class product and believes fans across the world will enjoy dancing to it.

Last year has been wonderful and after the Vybrant Faya Live concert at Alajo, the artist assured his loyal fans that, 2015 will be full of different styles of upper class dancehall music. This ‘the mampi singer’ aimed will foster a better brand for the genre in Africa. The dancehall genre in Ghana has recorded it fiercest competition ever during last year (that’s 2014). VYBRANT FAYA SETS RECORD WITH $150K CONCERT



It was an awesome night full of hot performances. The main act for the night got on stage and the fans just couldn’t stop chanting  “mampi, mampi, mampi”. Indeed the giants of dancehall music in Ghana really came out to play on that night. Ras Kuuku, Rudebouy Rankin, Iwan and many other top artistes of the genre including the main act of the evening, Vybrant Faya –D’Mampi General, all put up spectacular performances on stage. “It was the biggest dancehall event of all time to have hit the country” – a fan said. Residents of the Alajo community where the event took place confessed that, they have never witnessed such excitement in the area before and entreated the organizers to repeat the dancehall action next year.
